The project area is located in Tbilisi, on Petriashvili street #7. The area of the theatre can be reached on foot or by car from the side of Vasil Petriashvili street, while from the side of Petriashvili Lane - only on foot, as it is now. There is intended reconstruction-rehabilitation of the whole building. The existing building consists of one ground and three upper ground floors. It is divided into two parts – the old and the new one. In the project of reconstruction, we keep the main architectural composition. There are one large and two small halls. Through the arched red entrance from Petriashvili street, we get in one of the small halls, where the red color of the exterior continues. The central entrance is at the back of the building, from there we get in the long waiting area, where there is used a dark green ceiling and decorative lighting, which creates a mood of natural light in the interior. The walls are covered with decorative plaster, while the floor is covered with asymmetrically laid clay tiles. Curved shaped furniture of waiting space is made of the same tiles. Our goal was to create spaces that would be adaptable to any type of performance. The various storage rooms of a common nature are actually different from each other in terms of finishes, as well as colors and the decorative elements placed there. That is why we think these spaces will be the subject of constant discovery for the visitors.
